Mystical Rose

Sacred Altar
http://hergracedevata.blogspot.com

This gorgeous vintage St Térèse of Lisieux
rosary box set with small garnets reminded me
of my recent out-of-this-world encounter
and inspired me to make this one-of-a-kind
sacred altar necklace.

I used a double garnet rosary and combined it with unusual
vintage rose carved bakelite beads, as well as gentle rose coloured
glass beads and gorgeous rose carved glass beads
and luscious fresh water pearls, both gold and oyster.

I added a beautiful old holy medal, a French Notre Dame
sacred heart and at the back, a tiny swallow and a very old red mercury holy medal!

Inbetween is a gorgeous red intaglio of St Terese set on a gold
background.

At the end of the piece that hangs down the back,
is a beautiful St Anne and Mary mercury red
bubble holy medal - very old.

You can shorten it into a choker length or wear it longer.
The rosary case can open and you keep something
valuable inside.

Fragrance of Roses

Gracious Lady of Life,
Whose garment is the shining heavens.
You are the white Moon among the stars
And the beauty of the green Earth.
You are the Oneness of all things
And the completion of the spirit.
You are the mystery of that which we seek,
If we find not within,
We will never find it without.
For You have been here since the beginning,
And You are that which is attained at the end of desire.

The Little Flower

A piece of sacred art : a shrine to St Therese of Lisieux, the little flower.

SOLD

“When I die, I will send down a shower of roses from the heavens,I will spend my heaven by doing good on earth.”
― St. Thérèse de Lisieux

'For me, prayer is a surge of the heart;
it is a simple look turned toward heaven,
it is a cry of recognition and of love,
embracing both trail and joy. - St Theresa of Lisieux

This shrine celebrates all that this young saint believed in and lived in her short devoted life.
A small statue of St Therese, a part of a rose scented rosary (brought back by myself from Padre Pio's sanctuary at San Giovanni Rotondo in Southern Italy), a small silver statue of St Therese at the end of the rosary beads, a cross entwined with roses and a St Therese coin - all set against the backdrop of a vintage St Therese holy card.
With this shrine comes rose petal leaves which are a second class relic - these roses were touched to a first class relic of St Therese and also rose petals that were blessed during a special Mass.
The St Therese coin is loose and can be taken out of the shrine for contemplation.

This is one of my small altars. Its frame is wooden and it is lined inside and out, with ribbon and lace. A light wooden shrine ready to hang.

This shrine and coin is blessed with the rose petals steeped in oil from a third relic of St Therese, as well as blessed pink sea salt that is infused with rose oil, crushed rose petals from those that is infused with the third relic of St Therese.

This shrine comes with a bottle of the rose petals that was steeped in the third relic oil of St Theresa and then dried, as well as a bottle of blessed pink salt crushed together with
some of the holy oil and rose petals - all crushed together.

All my altars, shrines and pendants are washed with water that I brought back from Lourdes.

You can read about my pilgrimages to sacred sites on www.path-of-divine-love.com and more about each piece of art on www.hergracesacredart.com

Images of the Divine carry enormous energy and Presence. There are various ways of explaining it, but the ancients believed that the Spirit of that aspect of the Divine lives in Its image and form. The Passion of St Terese

“Without love, deeds, even the most brilliant, count as nothing.”
― Thérèse de Lisieux

A pair of earrings to be worn as sacred altars for healing and beauty. I found these very old and very detailed St Therese medals in Liseux during my pilgrimage to sacred places in France. The medals are double sided - look at the small rose on the back of the one medal.

I spent a day in the town of Lisieux and visited the Basilica and the Church of St Therese of Lisieux, as well as her convent, the magnificent rose garden and the relics of her body in a glass coffin. It was a very intense and moving experience and the fragrance of roses were intense. I linked these very old an detailed small medals to two blood red faceted glass beads and two small glass puffer hearts. They are linked to two enameled silver roses which I brought back from Lourdes. The earrings themselves are sterling silver,

With these earrings you will receive a bottle of blessed salts which I took with on the pilgrimage. These salts were taken to all the places where St Therese lived and prayed and where her body is lying. I also collected some of the rose petals from her garden which I mixed with the salts. Energy never dies. It merely changes form and salt is a very good absorber of energies - it also purifies lower energies. You can use these salts on your altar or where you meditate or you can add it to your bath water.

Images of the Divine carry enormous energy and Presence. There are various ways of explaining it, but the ancients believed that the Spirit of that aspect of the Divine lives in Its image and form. Those of us who can see light around living beings, can see the light around sacred objects. In holy places of pilgrimage one can often smell the fragrance of the Divine.

“A word or a smile is often enough to put fresh life in a despondent soul.”

An Angel Wing

An Angel Wing

A shrine for a special little girl.

This one of a kind shrine is specially made
for a special little girl,
 for her joy and blessings.

In the background is a vintage hand
embroided card of the guardian angel which
I brought back from Lourdes.

A tiny little Christmas tree indicates the joy
and celebration by the hosts of angels
at Millie’s birth into this world.

The little girl steps out onto an angel wing
under the loving and protecting gaze of love
of the Queen of Angels.

For you are in the care of angels wherever you go,
And you will be carried so that you will not knock your
foot on a stone

Series : Guardian Angel
Catalogue Number : 389
Name : An Angel Wing

Carried by angels

Angels relate to our capacity to love,
to accept ourselves fully,
and to embrace life.

Reigning above the heavenly host
is the spirit of the Shekinah,
the feminine face of the Divine,
through whom all creation is made manifest.

The heavenly realm interacts with the physical
world, and the two become one, in the incarnation
of the Divine in a human being.

The Higher Principles thus find expression in
flesh and spirit.

In Judaism, the manifestation of the Divine Presence
in human life takes the form of a created being of
light called the Shekhinah.
Meaning literally the 'indwelling' this is the feminine
aspect of God that brings peace and blessing
to the home.  In biblical times it referred to the glory
emanating from the Source.
Then Shekinah was then seen as a heavenly messenger,
and later as the Holy Ghost.  In the Kabbalah,
she is the mystical Bride of the Lord, who channels
grace to the lower worlds.

Because we contain the Divine Spark within us,
our actions resonate throughout creation. - The
Angelic Year, Ambika Wauters

In this shrine the blessings and healing energies
and powers of the birth of the Christ within the personal
self and and within humanity, the Guardian Angel and
the Queen of Angels all come together in a beautiful
altar.

The Blessed Virgin Mary, mother of Christ,
is our link with the eternal feminine principle within us.
She is the embodiment of truth, love, surrender and
miraculous healings and manifestations.

Her litany describes her as
Queen of Angels,
Mother of God,
Mother Inviolate,
Tower of Ivory,
House of Gold
 Mystical Rose
and
Gate of Heaven

This shrine captures the colours and names
of the Holy Litany
and here Mary is seen as the Queen of Angels
protecting the child within us against
the pitfalls, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual,
on the personal journey in this world.

The trees and fir garlands and small berries
are all symbols of the regenerative energy and the power
of renewal and Grace
of the Christmas tide and of the good news that
Love can and will be born within the heart
of humanity.  The traditional Christmas tree
has the shape of the pineal gland, known to be
the seat of consciousness and enlightenment
in the human brain.

In the centre of the shrine is the Stag,
an ancient symbol of the Christ.

The small child is stepping onto the angel
wing stretching out in front of her.
They will carry you lest you should knock
your feet on a stone or rock

The shrine forms part of my special Christmas
Guardian angel series.

Meditation
Feel your heart expand and contract with each breath that you take.
Let it soften and ease as you affirm life.
As you do t his, be conscious that you are opening up to your
life force with each breath.
This is how you experience renewal at all levels.
As you feel this happen, ask yourself
where you need to renew your commitment to life,
to be the best that you can be.
Renewal comes when you affirm your desire to
accept life on its terms.

Prayer
Blessed and Beloved Mother of us all,
you surrendered to the will of God
to bear the fruit of our salvation.
You accepted a higher will than
your own so that all humanity can be raised up.
We open our hearts and minds to
receive your grace, love and courage
